Today as we are hopefully coming to the end of the Covid pandemic, job searching is different as job seekers now have the choice of employers. However, this is a major responsibility on you as a job seeker as you need to know your values, your strengths, and how your skills can meet the challenges of the employer.
My recommendation for job seekers is to understand your motivation for changing jobs, what are your career goals, how you can contribute to the success of your next employer, what is your level of engagement with the new employer, and how you define your work-life balance.
The hiring process may be shorter or longer, so you need to be confident in identifying how your past experiences and transferable skills are relevant to the new position.
Employers want to know not only can you do the job, but will you fit in, how will you adjust to changes in the workplace and your long-term commitment. Employers have opportunities for the right candidate, so be prepared for your interview with a professional resume and mock interview practice to help you get the job offer.
